Eyeborgs review

Posted : 12 years ago on 1 May 2012 07:00 (A review of Eyeborgs)

In the near future where in the name of security, protection and the war on terror has escalated to the point where privacy is a thing of the past. The Department of Homeland Security now relies on ODIN (Optical Defense Intelligence Network) to “monitor” possible criminal activity using a universal camera network system. Eyeborgs are one branch of that network, however the system got compromised and in the name of security the things got manipulated and people silently blaming the president for the mess, howeverwhen one detrective set to break the shackle after some untowards incidents, it came to light that the things are far more serious and infact there is no president at all, it is just a digital eye, scrambling all over the place.

Pi review

Posted : 12 years ago on 15 April 2012 01:20 (A review of Pi)

PI : Mathematics is the language of nature.

The story of the movie PI, a mathematical number involves Max Cohen, a paranoid and reclusive New York math genius, confined to his messy apartment behind a door with three locks, and who talks to his homemade supercomputer, Euclid, trying to detect a pattern in the chaos of the universe-in the digits & pi, in the rise and fall of the stock market, and in the letters of Torah. Cohen is also affected by a rare brain malaise, which causes him to have wild uncontrollable fits and hallucinations.

Well the tale is bit weired, but guess what, most of the genius behaves the odd way so did max cohen.

The Island review

Posted : 12 years ago on 15 April 2012 10:23 (A review of The Island)

The story in near future wher human race becomes scientifically advanced, but morally degraded. A team scientist developed human clones, financed by their rich host to get the replacement parts when neded, however the hosts are not aware of the fact that their clones have been made. Supposed to be dumbed and brain washed clones, things get changed when two of the products got escaped from the production facility.

The Island is Michael Bay’s attempt at intelligent science fiction. One of those rare movies where everything truly comes together into a complete blockbuster package.

Final Destination 5 review

Posted : 12 years ago on 2 April 2012 02:53 (A review of Final Destination 5)

Another sequel of the Final Destination movie, 5th one. As per usual the movie is full of horrific and gruesome death scenes of the group of people going for company retreat who narrowly averted the death thanks to the vision one of the group mate had, while the bridge collapsed. WHat lies ahead after the survival is lot more horrible.

Punch line in the movie is the statement that the death doesn't like to be cheated.

So death makes a killing in this next installment in the Final Destination series which once again proves that no matter where you run, no matter where you hide...you can't cheat death.

The story is of April 1945 when Germany was at the brink of defeat, still Adolf Hitler believes that the German could win the war, finally disappointed he committed suicide. The movie is a horrified tale of war and the horrors committed during the war. Estimated 60 million people died in the war.

John Carter review

Posted : 12 years, 1 month ago on 25 March 2012 05:07 (A review of John Carter)

For me even watching the movie in 3D didn't do the magic. Even the Disneys label didn't do the trick and I really wander, Is ‘John Carter’ a worthwhile blockbuster movie experience?

Based on sci-fi icon Edgar Rice Burroughs’ 1917 novel, A Princess of Mars, Disney’s John Carter tried to adapt it into a 3D.

Sorry no offense for the fans of this movie.

Invictus review

Posted : 12 years, 1 month ago on 25 March 2012 07:46 (A review of Invictus)

Based on the book, "Playing with Enemy", "Invictus" is a truly inspirational movie directed by Clint Eastwood. This is the story of Neslon Mandela leading and joining hand with South Africa's Rugby team to lift not only the team but also the 43 millions Africans.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods maybe,
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced not cried aloud,

Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed

Beyond this place of wrath & tears,
Looms but the horror of the shades

And yet the menace of the years,
Finds, and shall find me unafraid

It matters not how straight the gate
How charged with punishements the scroll

I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

This movie was on my wanna watch list for a long time and after a long wait. I finally saw it and it is a source of inspiration for me.
