Ted review

Posted : 11 years, 5 months ago on 19 November 2012 05:50 (A review of Ted)

Ted is a comedy movie, but what what I feel there is lot of loose language used in the, quite unnecessarily, anyways.

John a lonely child, with no friends, got a stuffed bear from his parents on Christmas eve. Being lonely, he immediately fall in love with this new cute teddy bear, named him Ted. As a result of John childhood wish Ted come to life. John grows along with Ted as his best buddy. Things got twisted when, Lori enters into the life of John and John had to figure out, how to keep balance between Ted & Lori. Another twist at the end is the kidnapping of Ted by Donny for his son. Rescuing Ted has finally led to resolution of John, Lori & Ted problem.

Still maintain, could be a family movie, with kids enjoying a talking Teddy, if the language in movie could be appropriate, but maybe this movie was not produced for that genre :).

Melancholia review

Posted : 11 years, 5 months ago on 19 November 2012 03:25 (A review of Melancholia)

Melancholia is a Psychological movie about the end of the world. Melancholia is the name of a blue planet that is on the course of near miss to the earth a calculated by scientists.

The movie in the background of this collision story described the tales of two sisters Justine & Claire, how their lives are affected by the event.

The movie pace is quite low and action & fast pace loving movie viewers may get bored with the story, literally the Part one of the movie that is the about the marriage ceremony of Justine is quite draging, however the second part that is about Claire, is gripping being the scenario of possible collision of Melancholia unfolded and ended with the collision and subsequent end of world.

Skyfall review

Posted : 11 years, 5 months ago on 16 November 2012 07:19 (A review of Skyfall)

The new Bond series movie hitting the screen last week, rather setting the screen ablaze, being the first Bond series movie doing business of around 90 millions on opening. Thus topping the other movies releasing on the same week by almost three times with Wreck it Ralph grossing 33 millions.

In Skyfall, Bond's loyalty to M is tested, after been shot almost to death during a field operation in opening scene of movie. 007 being not comfortable with that however as MI6 comes under attack, both M & Bond has no choice, but to put unfit 007 back in field operation.

With list of undercover MI6 agents working undercover in different terrorist organisations, fallen in the hands of one of their owned agent, on the path of vengenve with MI6, specially settling score with M, after being handed over to Chinese authorities on account of exposed hacking, 007 had to track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

How far 007 succeeded in saving M & MI6' watch out yourself :)

The Expendables 2 review

Posted : 11 years, 5 months ago on 7 November 2012 03:34 (A review of The Expendables 2)

The Expendebles 2, star studded movie sequel of "The Expendebles" for me is quite better than the prequel. This time the plutonium rescue retrival mission become a payback & vengence mission too when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat.

Guess what the only damage to the team is the death of one of the new aadition team member a sniper, reason being this is one of the side plot on which the movie revolves otherwise none of the member got any serious injury in this hail strom of gun fire :)

A joint production of Yahoo & Symantec Norton. This powerful movie is all about cyber world. Gustov doberoff a cyber criminal came back with a vengenance against Chloe jocelyn, who apprehended Gustov by masquerading as her missing daughter.

Gustov hit back after releasing from prison after one year and he targeted FBI agent Chloe Jocelyn by framing her into cyber terrorism and turning the tables against her by planting all evidence towards her. With FBI on her tail too as well as the cyber terrorist, she has a dilemma to clean her name, save the world vis a vis save her mother from the clutches of terrorists.

The movie has quite a gripping story, showing the vulnerability of the cyberworld where the things can easily got messed up and one end up on roads.

A great treat to watch, so don't miss it.

Stolen review

Posted : 11 years, 6 months ago on 28 October 2012 09:17 (A review of Stolen)

Almost two movies bascically revolving around same concept, Liam Neeson's daughter taken in TAKEN & Nicolas Cage daughter is STOLEN.

Nicolas Cage has to face the ordeal to save his loving daughter, who got kidnapped and he has 12 hours & the price tag is 10 million dollars.

Stolen‘s is movie in which Cage plays Will Montgomery, “America’s greatest bank robber”. He and his team is quite dexterous and knows all the taqctics how to befool the FBI on teir tails. The things were great till one robber got messed up, 01 of the team mate Vincent got shot & cage got arrested whrn the team abdonded him and has to face 8 years imprisonment.

After 8 years the vendetta started Cage’s daughter (Sami Gayle) is abducted by a vengeful village (Josh Lucas) and Will must rely on his skills to get her back with the help of former ally Riley (Malin Ackerman). Hot on his heels are a couple of inept FBI agents played by Danny Huston and Mark Valley. The result is a compact and frequently exciting 96 minutes of running around, car chases, dramatic escapes, near misses and Nic Cage being Nic Cage.

Arbitrage review

Posted : 11 years, 6 months ago on 27 October 2012 03:52 (A review of Arbitrage)

Richard Gere in Arbitrage as Robert Miller, is one of those ultra-rich, smarter-than-everyone-else Wall Street-type. Quite obssesed wtih doing business & minting money had an unique approach to business. When everyone else buys, he sells. And he always makes the right move - except for when he doesn't, a move that goes awfuly worng spiralling hin down to the abyss.

Finding himself in a situation that, Miller's only hope to save himself, and his investors, from ruin is the pending sale of his firm. Unfortunately, he has also been playing it fast and compounding his problem because of his own infidelity loose in his personal life which suddenly unravels in a disastrous way threatening not only the sale but his marriage and his freedom.

Finding himself investigated by Detective Michael Bryer for homocide and in order to save his neck he has to rely on Jimmy Grant, the son of a long-term employee, to hold fast to a lie in spite of the massive pressure being brought to bear on him, of course for the pay back time.
