Gravity review

Posted : 10 months ago on 23 February 2014 04:08 (A review of Gravity)

Gravity, 90 minutes of space thriller that tells the story about the horror of space junk that could cause accident and space debris. A group of astronauts fixing a communication glitch on a space shuttle met an accident caused by space debris caused by some accident. This accident lead to catastrophic devastation set by space debris and with all communication break down. A good movie depicting the loneliness of humans in the vastness and emptiness of space.

However, how the only survivor Dr. Ryan Stone pull out an amazing come back to earth, is bit too much to digest, even than the movie is very captivating as space up there is always been a fascination for human being.

Turbo review

Posted : 10 months ago on 23 February 2014 03:58 (A review of Turbo)

Turbo an animation movie that tells the story of a snail that has a passion of car racing, day dreaming winning these races. An accident favors Turbo that mutated him into a snail that can run at lightening speed leaving a bluish trail behind him and than guess what he got chance to participate into Indianapolis Grand Prix thanks to Tito.

A good movie to watch, kids definitely love it, with a message never to give up on ones dream no matter how difficult it is.

Based on a comic character and comic story, superman a kid that landed on earth from a remote planet called which was on the verge of being destructed. The story has been heard and seen a number of times, yet again in the form of Man of Steel it is still powerful enough to captivate the viewers.

Fast & Furious 6 review

Posted : 1 year, 1 month ago on 3 November 2013 03:26 (A review of Fast & Furious 6)

Yet another action packed thriller by Fast & Furious team. This time they are trying to team up to become a family, a complete one by pitching against another team of evil genius matching their core. The mission was a success but seemingly at the cost of two team members, the end of the film was even more powerful suggesting another powerful episode to follow.

Pacific Rim review

Posted : 1 year, 2 months ago on 20 October 2013 02:39 (A review of Pacific Rim)

A Sci Fi with a unique concept, bit bizarre too, whereby Kaju's a creature similar to dinosaurs era specie, in the form of alien life form attacked earth through a space bridge that too open in a bizarre location, yes not in space, but in between a cleavage between two tectonic plates deep on the pacific. The human race facing annihilation came up with a strategy to pitch giant robots piloted by two humans simultaneously against the Kajus and there only chance is too get away with the space bridge.......

For Greater Glory review

Posted : 1 year, 2 months ago on 18 October 2013 04:13 (A review of For Greater Glory)

For Greater Glory, true story. In the years 1926 through 1929, Mexico fought a war, Cristero War, over the freedom of Roman Catholics to worship.

As a result of the Mexican Revolution, the constitution of 1917 stripped great power from the church, along with half of its enormous land holdings. But it was not until the regime of President Plutarco Elias Calles, who began to strictly enforce the constitution, that an uprising ensued. An impassioned group of men and women and not to forget even children each make the decision to risk it all for family, faith and the very future of their country. Supporters of the Catholic Church, who called themselves Cristeros, began a campaign against federal troops and had surprising success after they hired Gen. Enrique Gorostieta Velarde to lead their forces. An atheist and a hero of the revolution, Gorostieta signed on for the cash and because he supported the principle of religious freedom. This gorilla like war against the regime ultimately budge the government.....

G.I. Joe: Retaliation review

Posted : 1 year, 2 months ago on 7 October 2013 02:54 (A review of G.I. Joe: Retaliation)

G I Joe retaliation is a story of team of macho men, oops one lady is in there too. I wonder if a country has such powerful strike team of individual than why an army is needed, anyhow they are upto a bigger task and half of their crew members died in action after rescuing the nuclear bomb from the clutches of terrorists, who after killing the resident of the country took control of the nuclear hide out (the army if that country was maybe sleeping). The half of the team got dead because some other have to fill in such as snake eye and storm shadow.

The story and stunt at places are too much, soldier firing inside the well where the remaining three of the members were hiding to save there life, guess what not even one of them got even a single bullet. Later nuclear explosion of some five bombs in mid air with no fall out, however as per my understanding these nuclear bombs are meant to explode in midair not on surface to get maximu devastation. Anyhow if one like action so it is there ......

I am at season 2. wow, what a speed waise. I wish I had that much time. I am at the point where they have found the bunker and Micheal is back to the group with other survivors. I am pretty keen to know what happens to John Luck because that's the character I am most interested in.
frine? I think you meant fringe.. havn't watched the series so can't say.
you know after LOST, we should watch Dexter. what do you say?
Posted: 2 years, 6 months ago at Jun 3 11:26
Hey, I am busy with my assignments but when I get free, and tired of working, I watch lost. So far I have watched only 7 episodes of season1. It is not something special and I found it bit over rated. but isalnd and "the others" seem like an interesting idea and I would like to watch it more to know about them.

what's your review on it? :)
Posted: 2 years, 7 months ago at May 15 9:58
so does this mean you'll watch death note?
Posted: 2 years, 7 months ago at May 14 15:41
if you have any good movie to recommend, do tell
Posted: 2 years, 7 months ago at May 14 15:40
thats great to hear. oh on anime front, I want you to watch Death note. I watched it online at . Now here is what you are not suppose to do. Do NOT tell anyone you are watching death note or do a wiki search. Dive into it since any time you tell someone you are watching it the next thing they do is to spoil it for you so DON'T. I loved this anime and I do hope you will too.
I was thinking of starting lost as well. You know this is weird right? lol anyhow, I got into studies and then anime so that went behind. But it is on my list to watch along side with dexter. be patient with anime for 2 eipsode or so since it was little weird for me as well. They have their own different style and way of doing things.
Take care and I hope you and your family are good in Karachi :)
Posted: 2 years, 7 months ago at May 8 18:38
nowadays I am pretty busy in studies etc. On movies front, I have been watching them just not as frequently as I used to be. Last movie I watched was sherlock holmes 2. I prefer 1. I am into anime these days! Did you watch them because knowing how similar our taste is I can recommend you something I know you'll love to watch.
and hows bhabhi? :)

Posted: 2 years, 11 months ago at Dec 30 2:29
Don't tell me! :O wow she is a taurean too, great!

so how is fringe? I usually like to watch comedy tv shows, british mostly!
Posted: 2 years, 11 months ago at Dec 29 4:50
we are still friends right?
anyways I watched some movies as well but nothing that I can really really recommend. oh btw finally watched good will hunting. don't know what the fuss was about. it was OK. I also started watching star wars, since lots of tv shows use it references, don't know what special quality it has that I am missing out. may be time difference. oh and watched groundhog day (i guess you'll like it), battle royale (not your type) and harry potter.

I got gold medal between in november by latif khosa. was super cool day. I am nowadays giving back to community that is by volunteering at local govt. primary school. i teach 3rd class math, science and english. that is pretty much my life these days.

and somehow when i ask you about bhabhi, you don't reply. :(
